Are you guys talking about detailing cars that belong to people that work in a building?

If so, I think that is a great idea!

You could have a few or a few dozen people in an office building that will want their cars detailed after bad weather, for the weekends, for parties, holidays, etc...

The best part is that you are on-site and can take care of them right there.

Who knows, you might get a few buildings for Friday so people have their cars ready for the weekend.

This is not a bad idea, just have to send out a lot of flyers, get permission from the property owner, etc.....

If any one has heard of BNI ( bussiness networks international) I am in a very similar group called power leads.  I was kind of in a lull for referrals so I asked for express detailing for the fallowing week right during the meeting.  I ended up doing 6. and of coarse I didnt get to them all during the one hour meeting but it was very easy to sell.  the ones I did right there were kinda fun.

Ill tell you guys the best place to wash cars is the Gym work out a deal with the gym to clean it for free every 90 if they let you wash there. that is how i got into this bizz. washed alot of cars.. people at the gym pay good money and like knowing thir car will be cleaned wile they workout. plus most that go to the gym have the extra $ to throw your way. also try the mall or a salon. I just dont want to wash carz anymore. people only pay about 5-10 bucks a mini-detail here.( wash ext, vac, armorall wheels/int,and all glass) it will take about 30min or so for 1 guy to make 5-10 buck just not my bag of tea

That is a great idea!

We have a Gold's Gym that is ony a few years old but has a very huge parking lot which would be easy to do but it is mostly cars, I am not geared up for cars or detailing. Great idea though.

Did auto detailing years ago as teen and into my early twenties. Hmmm maybe this is something I could look to include in my services. Of course I would have to practice again on my own cars and trucks.

Seriously??  You used to wash/detail a vehicle for $5-$10 and it took a half hour?  If you hadn't quit I would have told you to give your head a shake if you were making only $10-$20/hr before expenses.
