I just had an Allied driver stop me last week and want all the info he could get to get me to wash there trucks b/c the company doing them now does barely a splash and dash. he said they have a hard finding anybody to do it because of the 90 day pay policy. Ive got a demo in two weeks as soon as I get out to see blaine.
Whether you get to wash weekly, bi-weekly or monthly, do you have the capital and reserves and chemicals to wash that frequently and wait 90 days for your first check then probably 2-4 weeks for the next one, depending on how often you wash?
Here is part of the problem, they cut checks only at one time of the month and if the locals get it there before the deadline then you are in luck, if it gets there a day or more late then you have to wait for the next pay cycle, next month. 3 different people in accts payable explained it to me when I was calling about my money. The local place has a 70 day net but it ended up taking 95 days to get my money.
I would not mind washing for them if it was a 30 or maybe even a 45 day net but to use that much fuel and chemicals on that many trucks and wait that long for the first check......I could not do that right now.
