Anyone have any fleet washing brochures , flyers etc that you want to share?
I am in the process of setting up a dedicated rig for fleets only.

The rig is a Freightliner FL-60, 18 foot box, liftgate, 1550 gallon tank, two hot 8 gpm machines, working on the reclaim system now as well. It will be set up with the Bioclean Guns and Chems.

Thanks in advance, Mike.

I am sure that Blaine would give me what he's got, but I would like something to start handing out in the interim. Plus, each person runs their business differently, therefore, I have a long road to travel before being like Blaine, so my marketing material may be different than what Blaine uses.

That being said, I would like to see what others use. We can all learn from one another.....afterall isn't that why most of us are here??

Thanks in advance, Mike.

I probably worded my post the wrong way.  Sorry.

To answer your question.....kinda.....I'll try.  In our market word of mouth and a business card is really all we need.  Combined with quality service and excellent results we have established a large clientele that doesn't switch between competing companies.  I have seen competitors that have fancy websites, graphics on their vehicles, and brochures and they simply don't get the work that we do.  We actually have made turning down work a thing of the past.  We will take on anything and give the competition nothing.  In the end.....I would give you a brochure but we don't have any!!  I receive brochures in the mail from landscaping companies all the time and they all end up getting recycled leaving me to think they are a waste of money.

Something I have been trying (got 27 new trucks last week by doing this)  is telling the customer to forget about their budget for washing or maintenance.  Can you afford $XXX per day in advertising?  Lets suppose you washed a truck 2 times a month at $30/wash then it works out to about $2/day to have your driver happy and your trucks giving good advertising.  It worked 3 out of 3 times for me and our market is pretty much tapped out!!

I have the business cards, but they are set up for the residential and commercial p/w ing side of the business. I am venturing into new territory for me with the vehicle washing, so I am looking to see what is out there. I hear ya on the service you give selling you, but in the beginning, its nice to have something to leave them with in the event I am not successful with the sales pitch. Thanks for the ideas, it makes the wheels upstairs turn...

I think there might be a thread about this somewhere else.  If I find it, I will post the link, but for the meantime this is what we use.

Since we are on the smaller scale, we like to limit ourselves to just how many people we talk to just to keep from getting to twisted in meeting up with this person, that person and so on for demonstrations.  We have found that 3 binders do well enough for us until we add another truck and are looking for a lot more work.  What we have done is made a binder of info about us and some before and after pictures.  We have a picture of all the main color trucks as well as different categories like tractor, trash truck, box truck, brightened alum., rims etc.  Once we know who we are going after we use pictures of vehicles of the same color and style as their fleets to help get a demonstration.  During the demo, we also take before and afters of their truck (that way if the big wigs higher up are the decision makers they can see what you do to THEIR equipment rather then somebody elses).   We leave our binder there for a week.  This gives us a great reason to come back and talk about adding us as a vendor without it seeming like we are the annoying sales rep.

Some of the other things that are included in the binder are MSDS sheets for the chems, Proof of insurance, Sample of our service agreement, list of references, a sample of our invoice, and a couple business cards.

So far this approach has helped us tremendously when walking into a place that already has somebody washing their fleet for them.

Like Mike said though,  for the most part showing what you do for work and have a business card is how we started and in this line of work for low start up costs is all you need.  Fleet managers are busy people and I have found if you dont speak to them face to face it is going to be difficult to get your foot in the door.  Dont waste your time printing brochures out to hand to the secretary or mail to the business.  Most likely the fleet manager will never know your business exists then.

Hope this helps
